The ONE FAMILY Pre-Fall Program is a transformational four-day experience designed specifically for first-generation college students. This program provides first-year students with the chance to connect with peers, administrators, and faculty as they gain valuable insights into the many resources and opportunities available to them at Loyola.

ONE FAMILY is designed to cultivate a sense of belonging by helping students acclimate to campus life before the semester officially begins. Our first-gen students will participate in engaging activities, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences that enhance the foundational connections of college life. Each ONE FAMILY participant will be matched with a first-generation peer mentor who will provide guidance, encouragement, and firsthand experience about navigating the exciting Life at Loyola!

Program is best suited for:

• First-generation incoming students eager to begin college and connect with a supportive community  
• Students seeking an early introduction to campus life, resources, faculty, and staff support  
• First-year students looking to build friendships, find belonging, and navigate Loyola with confidence  
• Students interested in peer mentorship from experienced first-generation students for academic and social support
